Born in 1976, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Uros Umek began DJing in 1993. He and his friends were the pioneers of dance music in Slovenia, and between them they were responsible for putting on the first large scale parties in Slovenia. The result has been that Umek is Slovenia's most famous DJ, and techno is Slovenia's favourite form of music. He is currently working with his own Consumer Recreation and Recycled Loops (with Valentino) labels, as well as releasing tracks on Tortured (as Mumps), Electrix (as Zeta Reticula), Planet Rhythm, Audio and Missile. His current style is the combination of many different roots, which the more long term Umek fans may recognise. Starting with a rough, uncompromising edge he quickly built a reputation in the studio. However, more recently he has moved towards a funkier sound with his massive Mumps release on Tortured in 2000. His dedication and impressive work rate have led to his studio skills being increasingly called with a wealth of successful releases under his belt.

Valentino Kanzyani
It could well be said that alongside fellow countrymen Laibach and Umek, Valentino Kanzyani is one of Slovenias biggest musical exports. As well as spinning techno and house on three decks across the world to huge crowds and acclaim he has released a barrage of dancefloor anthems for labels such as Primevil, Yoshi Toshi, Intec, Wet Musik, Tronic, Primate, Consumer Recreation and his and Umeks jointly run Recycled Loops and Earresistible imprints. If anyone can lay claim to putting Slovenia on the techno map then the name Valentino Kanzyani ranks high as one of its biggest propagators.

Tarkan - No Smoking @ Frisky Radio (07-02-2007)
Since his early childhood in Frankfurt, LPs and singles were his favorite toys. His family's interest in music has played a great role on the growth of his love for music. In 1985, his family decided to move to Istanbul and Tarkan had continued playing his vinyls and recording tapes after he was coming back home from his school.
Tarkan was sponsored to play his eclectic house sets, which he sharply forms depending on the time, the venue and the crowd, all around the country. His unique mixing style cemented his fan-base around the country, where he is frequently invited to play gigs in different cities. His creativity and talent was appreciated by the crowds and he was named number one DJ in Turkey for 3 consecutive years.
Based on this success, DJ Tarkan decided to spend more time on productions, releasing tracks based on years of musical experience. His productions and remixes were included in the tracklists and charts of the world's well known dj's like Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Deep Dish, Sander Kleinenberg, Anthony Pappa, Dave Seaman, Danny Howells, Steve Lawler, Seb Fontaine, Lee Burridge, Desyn Masiello and many more. The momentum continued with bookings from different countries all over the world and in 2006, DJ Tarkan was voted Number 78 in the world by DJ Magazine's most important poll in dance music.

Chloe Harris - Boarding Pass on Frisky Radio
Melting dubby house with techno, progressive with electro, deep house with minimal, she is able to alternate seamlessly between styles, adapting to the crowd and the time of night with ease.
She first caught the attention of John Digweed when he asked her to do a guest mix for his weekly KISS 100 radio show in March 2004. This led to a slot at Bedrock's 6th Birthday in London, and then a repeat performance the following summer at Herbal. Most recently he asked her to join him as his warm up DJ on part of his Transitions Tour in America. As for touring with John, Ministry Of Sound took notice and had her play at their Baltic Sea Sessions. Her International profile is growing with regular gigs around the world, as well as keeping a residency with one of Canada's best club nights, Focus at the Gecko Club in Vancouver, BC.
