The Bag Raiders on vinyl.... wow. after a year of sought after, fought after cdrs the bag raiders finally have their own e.p vinyl.although they have enjoyed some vinyl success (add in sneaky rmx, kitsuné rmx, k.i.m rmx)they have never got to walk out of the house carrying their own 12 gm slab of slick grooved black plastic, covered by a cool arty cardboard sleeve.
The Bag Raiders are gus da hoodrat, jack sabbath and chris brave. all kids from sydney, all with properly trained musical backgrounds.
Together live as the bagraiders they are pop perfection, dj, guitars, synth's and cover's. the kind of music you would expect at Erol's wedding or at one of the Fluo kid's birthdays or the funeral of somebody at Vice magazine. It's fun and It's cool, apparently that's not possible these day's. those two words do not hang out together.
on a record, the bag raider's sound futuristic in a early 2000 french kind of way.
The kinda record you would be listening to in Ibiza at Pacha with your hand's in the air spinning around in some ecstasy fuelled moment of oh my god im at pacha this place is horrible, who are these people this music is so wrong but not this record this is amazing, this sounds like Cassius, Daft Punk, Falcon,...
