Daso Franke, a fellow well known not only for his fantastic releases on MBF and Connaisseur, but also for his furious live-sets, sets out to bring the noise again. After having been inspired by the nerdy world of old-schoolish adventure games for his last release, he uses the dissolute world of absinthe as an afflatus this time. He takes us to a land where alluring little green fairies buzz around and people cut their ears off under absinthe’s massively woozy influence.
Thujon: The impact of well-made Absinthe depends on its concentration of thujon. It can best be described as a kind of heightened clarity of mind and vision. And this is what this track is all about - 100% Thujon!
Louche is the name of the cloudy effect you achieve by adding water to spirits, which contain anise, like absinthe does. This track starts with a low-key groove, which forces up to a mental dance affaire, including a genuine rocking Daso-esque break.
La Fée Verte: Imagine a lazy summer afternoon. You’re sitting outside a small café at the Cote d’Azur. After drinking your fourth Absinthe you might actually see a little green fairy, sitting on your shoulder, singing this sweet melody in your ear.
